The Air Knife is a versatile new generation of portable electro-pneumatic equipment for variety waste cutting applications. It uses the principle of ‘Non Contact Cutting’ for cutting any waste that needs to be removed. The air knife can be used on almost any machine parts like the hot godets, positorque unit, ceramic discs, nip rollers, bakelite drums, steel shafts, rollers, etc, including many other delicate & inaccessible places where the conventional cutting blades or j-hooks either can not reach.

The air knife is easy to use. It has simplified electronic controls that use a supply of hot compressed air as the cutting medium. It can cut through all types of thermo plastic materials such as nylon, polyester, pp, etc. yarns as well as woven / non-woven fabrics, synthetic films, etc.

Air Knife Unit : Capacity - 1.8 Kw is a ready to use waste yarn cutting unit requiring 220/230 V AC, 50 Hz single phase electrical & 0.6 to 1 Kg/cm2 air pressure (depending on application ~ 24 to 120 LPM) oil & moisture free compressed air supply connections. *Unit suitable for 110 V AC, 60 Hz, Single phase electrical supply available.

The air knife system is a portable unit that consists of a pressure regulator-supply valve-flow, which controls the valve. Mounted below is the electronic control and supply unit. The detachable hand held cutting torch is about .75 kg., and come with air supply hose and electric cable that connects up to its respective control unit. This unit can be move from place to place do to its lightweight and portability.

Regular usage of the air knife reduces the down time of yarn waste cutting and has a significant increase in the life time and bearing of moving parts.
